UNLV Women’s Golf Great Returns Home as ‘Favorite’ for Epson Tour Event at Spanish Trail

Dana Fall is ready for the W at Spanish Trail Country Club when she tees it up in the Epson Tour
Reliance Matrix Championship. Given her familiarity with the course from her UNLV Women’s
Golf days, her LPGA Tour experience and recent solid play, she is ready.

“I would think I would probably be one of the favorites just with my history here in town and
I’ve been playing well this year and my game feels like it’s in a really good spot,” says Fall. “I
think it would be a really nice kind of wrap up to my career and history in Vegas to get a win
here. That would be really cool because I’m not sure how many more years I’m going to play. I
want to start a family soon. That would be a cool chapter maybe to close here in the city of Las
Vegas with a win.”

Fall was Dana Finkelstein during her UNLV golf days, and has put together a terrific professional
career with nearly 100 LPGA Tour events and an Epson Tour victory. She won five times at UNLV
and was an All-American and 3-time Mountain West Golfer of the Year.

“I think my most favorite memory was when I won our home tournament my senior year at
Boulder Creek,” says Fall. “I think I was like nine shots back and it was a windy, nasty day in
Vegas and I shot 65 to turn around and beat the girl by four or five or something. It was a crazy
flip of events and still to this day that was probably one of my coolest rounds of golf I’ve ever
played.”
