Leah Im understands the impact golf has made on her life, and she wants to give back so others are given the same opportunities. In November, Im will be part of the PGA REACH team running the New York City Marathon to raise funds and awareness for the program that grows the game and expands access to youth, military veterans and diverse communities.

Im is jumping right in as this wlll be her first marathon, and training is part of her journey. Im is a graduate of the UNLV Professional Golf Management Program and now serves as the Program Coordinator.
“I’m excited to take on this new challenge and run 26.2 miles to give back to the game that has given me so much and to support the PGA of America REACH Foundation,” Im said..”Golf has shaped so much of who I am. As a PGA WORKS Scholar, I’ve been given opportunities that have greatly impacted my education and professional growth in ways I never could have imagined. Being involved with PGA Junior League has been especially meaningful to me, as it’s shown me firsthand how powerful the game can be in introducing golf to young players and shaping their experiences.”
Im was introduced to the game by her father and she continues to find ways to give back to the community. Please take a moment and help Im on her journey!
Established in 1978 as PGA Foundation, Inc. – the charitable arm of the PGA of America – the mission and vision was simply to impact lives through golf. Now as the PGA of America REACH Foundation, our mission remains the same as we aim to deepen community involvement through our programs and extend golf’s reach. The Foundation proactively introduces new groups to the sport we love. As we increase access and create invitation, more are challenging themselves, enjoying the outdoors, making friends, living healthier lives and discovering the pure joy of golf.
