At Shadow Creek Golf Course, one of the most exclusive venues in golf, Samantha Harris experienced firsthand just how far the game can take you. As a guest in the PIF Global Series Aramco Championship Pro-Am, Harris played alongside professionals on a stage typically reserved for the world’s best, adding a memorable chapter to her growing golf journey.
“I have never played Shadow Creek before and this course is just absolutely beautiful and an amazing opportunity for a player like me to get real experience on real LPGA greens,” Harris said. “Golf is the second part of me. It’s who I am. It’s the game. It’s a challenge, but it’s also so much fun at the same time. It’s striving to get better and to end up places like Shadow Creek.”
Harris, who has committed to Dartmouth College, used the opportunity as another step forward in her development, gaining valuable insight by playing alongside professionals. “I learned what it’s like to be a professional golfer, to play alongside one, see their strategy in real time on the golf course,” she said. “How they approach certain shots, how they land it short on the greens when they roll out because they’re firmer, and how they leave their putts to have that easy uphill putt coming back. Seeing it in real life-on TV, these people look fake, like they’re just perfect, but being out here makes you feel like one day you could be a pro, too.”
The experience also reinforced the foundation Harris built through years of competitive golf in Southern Nevada, including her development with the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association and her time at Bishop Gorman High School.
