At Spanish Trail Country Club, the variety of membership choices available to golfers is as varied as the playing options offered on the 27-hole Robert Trent Jones, Jr., designed golf course. Spanish Trail, one of Vegas’ oldest layouts, is a golf oasis located right in the heart of Las Vegas. –By Bill Bowman, Las Vegas Golf Insider staff.
From regular golf memberships (including various age bracketing prices up to age 50) to corporate memberships to social memberships, there’s a plan that will fit everyone’s desires. And, if you happen to live out of the area but travel to Vegas, there is also a National Membership (non-resident) option available.
“The big thing is it’s a great value,” said Stan Spraul, general manager. “For what people pay and for what they get, the value is a big seller.”
The memberships to Spanish Trail include just about everything golfers are looking for when they are on the hunt for a country club environment. There’s unlimited golf and use of the practice facility. There is complimentary bag storage as well as a personalized locker and use of the clubhouse. There are two aquatic centers, 12 tennis courts and a fitness center. And another big factor for members is there are no food-and-beverage minimums.
There is also fine dining in The Bar & Grill and if you’re a club member and live in the Spanish Trail community, home delivery of meals is also available.
And in the pro shop, members receive 20 percent off merchandise.
On the course, players will find three distinct nines–Canyon, Lakes and Sunrise. Spanish Trail features 15 lakes with mature trees. Add in well-manicured, true-rolling greens and elevation changes and players will find a well-rounded golf course that, with the 27 holes, offers players three 18-hole playing options.
Spraul added another big selling point is the course is always open for play. “Even during overseed we have 18 holes open for play,” he said. “We will shut down one nine for six weeks but we still have 18 holes open and ready for play.”
