Legacy Golf Club Attempting to Improve Conditions Via Overseeding

Legacy Golf Club is on a mission to elevate course conditions and enhance the overall playing experience. This late summer/fall Legacy will conduct their annual overseed maintenance as part of their mission of “Refurbishing Our Legacy.” The info was in an email to those golfers on the Legacy Golf Club list.

The club will be closed September 17-October 5. According the email info, “instead of the previous 10 day closure, this year’s 19-day closure is designed to improve course conditions and improve turf health. By increasing the closure time, the course will be elevated with healthier turf and playing surfaces.

“The Legacy Golf Club’s long term investment to improve course conditions is designed to increase the overall guest experience and elevate the golf course.”

The course has struggled with conditions of late, including a water main being out in the summer.

But we applaud them taking steps to try and get the course back to better days. Stay tuned.

During the month of August, the course was offering $30 tee times as a thank you to golfers for patience as the process began. Also, the course practice area was all grass during August.
