Craig Barlow is a former Southern Nevada Golf Association Player of the Year and now Director of Instruction at the High Performance Golf Institute at Reflection Bay Golf Club at Lake Las Vegas. This week, he takes his shots at the U.S. Senior Open at the Broadmoor in Colorado for the third straight year.
“The Broadmoor is an absolutely amazing open golf course,” Barlow said prior to the first round. “It is very important to hit the fairway in order to get to the part of the greens needed. It has some of the most demanding greens I’ve ever played, with maybe only Oakmont being harder. We had a lot of rain during a practice round, which will make it a little easier to keep the ball on the section needed. Without rain, it will be a big challenge. I’m really excited to have another opportunity to play in our Sr National Open. I’m grateful for what golf has provided for me. To live my childhood dream.”
Barlow has been eligible for the U.S. Senior Open three times and played it three times. He won on the medalist of his qualifier in his first year and then this year. He finished T14 in his first year to automatically qualify for the 2024 event.
