Durango Hills Golf Club will close out May with a pair of themed golf events designed to bring together local players for fun competition and community atmosphere. The club’s 3rd Annual Women’s Spring Fling is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, followed one week later by the Heaven & Hell Tournament on Saturday, May 30. Both events feature early morning shotgun starts.
The Women’s Spring Fling will feature a two person scramble format with flights based on scores and no handicaps used. The event includes green fees, golf cart, lunch following play, and prizes for participants. Tournament organizers noted the field is limited to 44 teams and encourage players to register early as spots are expected to fill quickly. Pairing requests are also being accepted at registration.
The Heaven & Hell Tournament brings a different twist to the month with a four person scramble and a creative theme built around opposing golf challenges and team camaraderie. The event includes a luncheon and awards ceremony following play, with organizers also assisting teams that may need additional players to complete a foursome. Advance payment will be required for participating teams.
Both tournaments will begin with 7:30 a.m. shotgun starts and are part of Durango Hills Golf Club’s continuing effort to create engaging local golf experiences for players of all skill levels.
