At LasVegasGolfInsider.com, if golf is in the name then it is in the game. Such is the case with disc golf. And here are two sweet disc golf layouts right here in #VegasGolf.
Disc golf is a sport built around simplicity, creativity, and the joy of being outdoors. Similar to traditional golf, players move from tee to target, but instead of clubs and balls, they throw specialized discs toward metal baskets. The goal is similar to golf with trying to complete each hole in as few throws as possible.
Working with the Las Vegas Disc Golf Club, Wildhorse Golf Club has installed two full-scale disc golf courses that wind through the existing golf course, creating a setting that’s both scenic and demanding. Wide fairways, strategic landing areas, and well thought out basket placements reward good shots.
Disc golf is appealing because it’s welcoming to all skill levels. Beginners can pick it up quickly, while the top players appreciate the skills needed to be among the best. It’s also a social game in which rounds move at an easy pace and every hole brings a new opportunity for a great shot.
Wildhorse is open to the public and also to professional events, including the Las Vegas Challenge which is one of the biggest and longest-running disc golf tournaments in Nevada. The LVC will be hosted by Wildhorse Nov 12-15.
