Boulder Creek Golf Club hosted a milestone moment as Colorado Mesa University captured the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Golf Championship, marking the first conference title in program history. The venue once again proved to be a championship-caliber host, providing the stage for a breakthrough performance that will stand as a defining moment for the Mavericks.
Colorado Mesa delivered across all three rounds, posting scores of 19-under-par 269, 7-over-par 295, and an even-par 144 to secure the title. Sophomore Leo Lavalle led the Mavericks’ effort, tying for second place at 173 alongside Colorado School of Mines’ Liam Allan, helping pace a balanced and steady team performance.
Colorado Christian’s Bradley Mulder earned individual medalist honors with a consistent showing, finishing 13-under over 45 holes. With the victory, Colorado Mesa claims the RMAC’s automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division II Championship and will return to Boulder Creek Golf Club, the same course where the program reached a historic new level.
