For Vegas golfers, this news will hit HARD. The Primm Valley Golf Club–home to the Lakes and Desert courses designed by Tom Fazio–has closed its doors. According to sources, the property was purchased by the same owners of Legacy Golf Club, Eddie Haddad and Georges Maaloof.
A current message on the official Primm Valley website lists the course as “closed for the foreseeable” future. The sources were not certain of what the future will hold for the property, which was previously owned by MGM Resorts and operated by Elite Golf Management.
The saddest news is that the Primm Valley Lakes course had made a giant comeback in recent months and the word of mouth about the condition of the property was tremendous. Primm was truly a local favorite and enjoyed by visitors.
Vegas golf is a much sadder place today.
We will provide more details as we get them.
When Maalouf and Haddad purchased the Legacy several years ago, they attempted to shutter the course to build homes but area HOA’s banded together and stopped the closure via the court system.
