The spotlight is shining again on the 27-hole facility at Boulder Creek.

“Being host to the Nevada State Amateur is very special to us,” said Karl Larcom, General Manager, Boulder Creek and Boulder City golf courses. “Competitive amateur golf is very important to the health of the sport and is a huge part of the foundation that golf is built on throughout history.  A State Amateur is the opportunity for the best players to bring their talents all at the same time to one venue to show who is at the top of his game right now. There is so much rich history in state amateurs because it is the very best playing against each other. What I love about Boulder Creek is we are not the hardest course you’ll ever play, but you need to be solid in every facet of your game if you think you’re going to win. Keeping the ball in play is a must off the tee and with medium to large size greens that have some slope in them, you need to hit it in the right quadrant to reduce the 3-putts. I am very excited to see what the best are going to do over the upcoming 3-days of competition.”
