Beat the Heat at Ely Elevation During Fun Golf, Food, WIne Tourney

Ely, Nevada, is only a four-hour drive but a world away from the Vegas Summer Heat. Many Las Vegans have second homes in the small burg, but many others travel to hunt, fish, get away and/or golf. Now is your chance to play in the fun Ely Rotary Golf Tournament and get out to the heat on July 27, 2024.

Ely is usually about 30-40 degrees cooler than Vegas and that is reason enough along to visit during the summer. But the Ely Rotary event gives you more reasons.

Play golf at the historic 18-hole White Pine Golf Course and benefit kids in the area by raising dollars for scholarships.

The event is just $125 per player and includes golf, drinks, breakfast, post-round barbecue and a chance to win $15,000 if you ace a hole. Also included is a pre-event Wine Tasting on Friday, July 26.

There are also still some tournament sponsorships available so see below how to contact to sign up and play …. and/or sponsor!

Sitting at Nevada’s eastern edge of  the “Loneliest Road in America,” Ely is a remote mountain town where history, art and outdoor adventure thrive. Ely was founded in the 1870s as a stagecoach stop and trading post called Murray Station, but it would become one of the country’s major copper mining regions.

The Nevada Northern Railway arrived in 1906. Now, this well preserved short-line railway draws visitors from all over the world to ride on its queens of steam and historic diesel engines.

Murals, art galleries and a sculpture garden decorate the historic downtown. Rugged mountains rise up in all directions with amazing year-round recreation opportunities in places like Great Basin National Park, Cave Lake State Park, Ward Charcoal Ovens State Park and Ward Mountain Recreation Area.
