Primm Valley Lakes Improved Course Conditions Earn Positive Word of Mouth Accolades

It is no secret to Vegas golfers that the courses at the Tom Fazio-designed Primm Valley Golf Club have not been up to standard over the last couple years. But over the last several months, the Lakes course that was designed by the legendary Tom Fazio at the facility has made a remarkable return to quality conditions.

And the word of mouth is proving that the tee boxes, fairways and greens are all back in good condition.

“The course in good shape and it is getting better every day,” wrote Chefken on GolfPass.com in early January 2024. “I appreciate all that is being done to make this a better golf course. Please keep up the good work. We appreciate all the work that has gone into this course over the last year.”

His words were confirmed by Google Local Guide Brent Cross.

“The course is in way better shape than it has been the last few years,” wrote Cross. “Greens are coming back to life and overall, I was really impressed with the conditions. Honestly, you can’t beat the value anywhere else right now.”

In addition, this writer has been stunned by the improvements, given how bad the conditions were a year ago. And I have heard many comments from a lot of different people about how they are very much enjoying having Primm Valley Lakes back and playable.

Front and center and dealing with the difficult conditions, and now enjoying the improvement, has been Dustin Flatt, director of golf operations for Elite Golf, which manages Primm Valley.

“The first thing I think about is excitement because it is great to see such a top quality, top tier destination course back in the shape Tom Fazio envisioned,” Flatt says. “The customer feedback has been outstanding. Golfers are excited and express a lot of gratitude about the conditions. Our customer base is extremely loyal, so it is very nice to give them a product that they expect and deserve, and have been waiting for.”

Besides the excitement golfers have about the improved conditions, many have asked what happened in the first place to allow the conditions to deteriorate?

“Candidly, we have had some water issues in the past and we made some necessary repairs to water wells and infrastructure regarding the water wells that has allowed us to irrigate with water that is conducive to growing the types of grass that we have at Primm Valley,” Flatt says.

For visitors and locals, Primm Valley has always been known as a good value.

“We keep a very close eye on the competition and price our product accordingly, and we are always affordable to the everyday golfer, whether that’s local or non-resident,” Flatt says.

If you haven’t already played it recently, now is the time to give Primm Valley Golf Club another chance. Or if you have played it in the last couple months, you have already experienced the new Primm Valley Lakes.

Note – work continues on the Desert course and we will provide updates in the future.
