“I really liked coming back home,” Mission, a junior, said a few moments after the victory. “I’ve grown up here. I feel really comfortable here.”

Mission tied her career best by finishing at 11-under par over the three rounds. She shot 69-67-69 and helped lead her team to a runner-up finish behind Long Beach State.

“My game’s been really solid Coming into the fall, and I felt really good about it,” said Mission, a Clark High alumna. “My very first college round was a personal best, so coming into this tournament I was feeling really good. I hit the shots that I knew I could hit out here. I gave myself so many opportunities, even if not all of them dropped. I just had a lot of fun out here.”
