At the United States Golf Association U.S. Women’s Amateur at Bel-Air Country Club, 702 and Vegas Golf will be well represented with four players teeing off in hopes of winning a title. And a bonus fifth if you include the daughter of former UNLV All-American Chris Riley.
Playing in the event are Henderson’s Yana Wilson, Boulder City’s Emmerson Hinds, and UNLV’s McKenzi Hall and Thienna Huynh. Taylor Riley, daughter of 4-time Rebel All-America Chris, who lives in San Diego, is also in the field.
UPDATE Aug. 9 – Wilson, Huynh and Riley advanced to the round of 64. Wilson and Hyunh advanced to the round of 32 as did Riley, who won in 19 holes.

Hall grew up playing in the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association as did Wilson, who has made a name on the national and international stage. Hinds still competes on the SNJGA circuit.
