U.S. Senior Amateur Dream Is Alive for Southern Nevadans Hogle, Morley

Glenn Hogle was the low medalist at Red Rock Country Club to earn a return trip to the U.S. Amateur while Earl Morley defeated Steven Fink in a playoff to earn the other spot available at the sectional qualifier.

“It feels good to repeat and be the medalist,” Hogle told LasVegasGolfInsider.com writer Bill Bowman for SNGA.org. “I’m really pleased. We’re amateur golfers and any time you can make it to a USGA national event, it’s a big deal.”

Hogle fired a 69 while Morley and Fink tied at 70. Fink is now the first alternate.

“Every day on the golf course is an absolute joy,” Hogle said. “I will represent Southern Nevada with everything I’ve got…I promise you that.”

The 2022 U.S. Senior Amateur Championship is scheduled for Aug. 27-Sept 1, 2022, at The Kittansett Club in Marion, Mass.
