Anthem Country Club and SNGA Member Goldstein Does the Triple

Josh Goldstein is arguably the top amateur golfer in Nevada at the moment. He added proof to that hypothesis with a victory at the 2022 Nevada State Match Play, held at Toiyabe Golf Club up North.

Goldstein, at least the most decorated Nevada amateur over the last year, also won the 2021 Nevada State Amateur and the 2021 Nevada State Mid-Amateur titles.

Goldstein defeated Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association member and Foothill High product Andrew Hawk in the 36-hole final. Hawk is a Utah Valley golf commit.

“It was just an awesome fight,” Goldstein told Las Vegas Golf Insider writer Bill Bowman. “Andrew is a great player and just never gave up. It was a great match. Both of us played very good golf. This was just a great win. I wanted to win this one last year. It’s great to have a strong finish in a match play event as well as a stroke play event.”
