Matthewson Looking to Parlay Great Play at PGA City Championship

Erik Matthewson, a PGA of America professional at Shadow Creek, won the 2022 Southern Nevada Chapter PGA NBC Sports Next City Championship at Las Vegas Golf Club by nine shots, posting rounds of 63 and 65 to finish 17-under. Now he is hoping to continue his hot play at the Arizona Open and beyond.

“I drove it well and I chipped it well,” Matthewson said. “I’ve been working a lot on chipping and short game, just wedges in general. And it kind of came all together. I didn’t really lose too many shots in that regard.”
