To reach the finals of the Drive, Chip & Putt competition has become a goal from many junior golfers. Recently, several Southern Nevada juniors took the first step in earning a spot in the 2023 finals to be held at Augusta National prior to the Masters in April.
The local qualifier was held at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, the home of three Pete Dye signature courses. Several of the qualifiers and families shared video and photos on social media from the day.
Matt Henderson, the 2021 Southwest Section PGA Teacher of the Year, watched Colton Henderson advance and shared his thoughts via Insta.
“Huge Congratulations to Maddox for moving on to sub-regionals in his first @drivechipandputt experience. All your hard work is paying off Dude! Thank you to @lvpaiutegolf for hosting, facility was incredibly well prepared and stunningly beautiful. Thank you to the @southwestpga for all that you do to grow the game. Thank you to all of the volunteers for your time and donating toward our junior golfers.”
