Golfers Speak Loudly, Clearly About Love of Las Vegas Paiute

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (April 26, 2019)–The people and golfers have spoken. And when it comes to where to play golf in Las Vegas, listening to fellow golfers is a great way to decide where to play. Take a look at the top-rated courses in our state in 2018 according to Golf Advisor and you’ll sense a pattern: The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort features not one…not two…but three of the top 5 courses in the state. –By Bill Bowman, Las Vegas Golf Insider staff

Start with No. 1 (Snow Mountain), No. 2 (Sun Mountain) and end up at No. 5 (Wolf) and you’ve got a trifecta of Pete Dye designed and signature golf courses that have to be played to be believed. At least according to those impartial players who have teed it up there and taken part in the Golf Advisor site’s reviews.

The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort’s mantra seems simple enough: “From the conditions and layout of the courses to the customer service, amenities and natural setting, we provide a golf experience that is unique and affordable,” said Ayeesha McKeany, director of marketing.

In the ratings and reviews, the Wolf received 530 reviews with 401 of those reviews giving them 5 stars and 111 coming in at 4 stars. Sun Mountain had 388 reviews with 5 star ratings from 287 and 4 star ratings from 90. At Snow Mountain, there were 387 reviews with 266 coming in with 5-star ratings and 111 at 4-stars.

Need more proof? Well, here are just a few of the more than 1,200 reviews for the three courses.

SNOW: gnomike said: “What a treat to play the Snow course. A great layout. I love courses that don’t always push the super hard shot. This course had great risk-reward options so you could manage your game better.”

SUN: kscopes said: “An oasis in the desert. It was an all-around great place to tee it up. Excellent facilities. Staff couldn’t have been nicer.”

WOLF: bstarric said: “This course had the best/greenest fairways, best greens and well maintained sand traps of any courses I have played this year. Certainly worth the scenery alone–course was a real bonus.”

And before you ask, yes…this includes all of the courses in the state. Shadow Creek’s in the rankings (No. 3), Cascata’s also ranked (No. 4) as well as some big-time courses in the north (Edgewood Tahoe at No. 8 and Championship at Incline Village Golf Resort at No. 10).

The people have spoken.

And loudly.

And as a note, the Las Vegas Paiute also does well on national Golf Advisor “best of” lists and we’ll have more on that in future posts.
